Do you take insurance?
We do not submit to insurance but are happy to provide a superbill for you to submit for possible reimbursement.
Where are you located?
We are located at the crossing for Santa Clara and High Street (across from Lincoln Park) in Alameda. See the bottom of this page for more details.
Do you pop and crack children?
No, never. I have received hundreds of hours of post-doctoral education specific to serving the pediatric population. Children are not small adults; their bodies and physiology are different. Very little force is required for change to happen, and the least amount of force possible is always used. My approach is very gentle and consists of mostly gentle sustained contacts (about the pressure you would use to test the ripeness of a tomato or avocado). I will also use an activator tool (spring loaded instrument) to deliver a small impulse through my thumb, and occasionally a drop piece. Most of the work looks like gentle contacts, and children usually enjoy themselves and giggle.
Does my child need to sit and lay on the table still during their adjustment?
Definitely not! Many children do enjoy relaxing on the table while they receive treatment, but it definitely isn’t a requirement. I am very used to adapting to children’s comfort levels and am often seen checking kids as they play in the office. If your kiddo isn’t a “sit still” type of kiddo, that’s no problem!
How long does my child have to come for?
It depends on what your goals of care are. If you are just looking for temporary care - we will create a plan to support your goals.
If you are looking for more of a developmental plan, it may be a bit longer of a care plan.
Our recommendations are based on your specific goals.
How long are your visits?
Regular office visits are 10 minutes long. Extended appointments are 20 minutes. Please see our First Visit page for New Patient appointment details.
What if my child doesn't "behave" in your office?
We know that all behavior is communication, and we are sure that there are NO bad kids! Your child is welcome to be themselves in our office; this is not a concern on our end.
